I believe that every child is capable of becoming a confident and competent Mathematics learner, but not every child learns in the same way, at the same pace, or with the same kind of support.
At T. Garcia Education, my goal is to create the kind of learning environment where students feel safe enough to make mistakes, curious enough to ask questions, and confident enough to keep trying.
Meet Teenisha Garcia
Hi, I’m Teenisha — Mathematics educator, entrepreneur, and founder of T. Garcia Education.
I hold a Bachelor of Education with a specialisation in Mathematics and have spent more than a decade teaching students across primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
Over the years, my classroom has included students with a wide range of abilities, personalities and learning needs. That experience has shaped the educator I am today and reinforced something I believe deeply: there is no single way to teach every child.
For me, good Mathematics teaching isn't simply about showing students how to get an answer. I want them to understand why something works, develop the confidence to think independently, and learn how to approach unfamiliar problems without feeling overwhelmed.
That is why T. Garcia Education is about more than improving grades.
Of course, I want my students to perform well academically. But I also want them to become better thinkers, more confident learners and young people who aren't afraid of Mathematics.
Teaching has always been deeply meaningful to me, and as I continue to grow as an educator, I remain committed to studying, questioning and improving the way Mathematics is taught and learned, particularly for children across the Caribbean.
My Philosophy
Understanding before memorising.
I want students to understand the Mathematics behind the procedures they use. When students understand why something works, they are better able to remember it, apply it and use their knowledge in unfamiliar situations.
Mistakes belong in the learning process.
Students should never be afraid to get an answer wrong. My classroom is a space where questions are encouraged, mistakes are explored, and students learn that struggling with something does not mean they are incapable of learning it.
Confidence matters.
Sometimes the greatest barrier between a child and Mathematics isn't ability — it's the belief that they simply aren't “good at Math.” I work intentionally to help students develop both mathematical competence and confidence.
Every learner is different.
Children bring different strengths, experiences and learning needs into the classroom. While I teach students in small groups, I remain attentive to the individual learner and adjust my explanations, examples and approaches whenever necessary.
Mathematics should develop thinkers.
Learning Mathematics isn't only about finding an answer. It develops logical reasoning, critical thinking, perseverance and problem-solving — skills that extend far beyond the Mathematics classroom.

SEA & CSEC Mathematics Preparation
Exam preparation goes beyond completing past papers. Students develop the mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, exam strategies and time management needed to approach regional examinations with confidence.

Classes are available through flexible learning environments that combine the convenience of technology with meaningful interaction, discussion and support.
A Safe & Supportive Learning Environment
